My name is Matthew Carlin and I'm a multimedia journalist and digital media coordinator based out of Austin, Texas. I'm a graduate from the University of North Texas where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism.
I found my passion in music photojournalism and continue to showcase the best artists from all over the world.
I grew up in the Austin area and have always been fascinated by the culture, music, and art scene here. I was very active in the local music scene growing up, having seen many great Austin bands play some of their first shows in the city.
My love for Austin's music culture is what made me want to pursue music journalism, therefore I went up to the Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex for college to discover what talent the cities had to offer.
In my time in DFW I worked for an online music publication and a video production studio where I interviewed local and national artists, filmed live recordings of upcoming acts, and photographed concerts all over the city of Dallas.
You can usually find me at one of the many glorious venues in downtown Austin on any given night.
